ASTOR PARTNERS WITH LOCAL VENDORS FOR "DOG DAY AFTERNOON" FESTIVAL
For Immediate Release
NEW YORK, NY -- Astor Wines & Spirits welcomes dogs (and their people) for a day of treats: The "Dog Day Afternoon" will feature cocktails, appetizers, wine tastings, "doggie bag" giveaways, dog portraits, a charity raffle, and more.
The event is a celebration of city dogs and Astor's loyal customers. All activities will be held at Astor Wines & Spirits, at 399 Lafayette Street (at East 4th Street) on Saturday, July 31st from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free and all are welcome.
A neighborhood institution for over 60 years, Astor Wines & Spirits will partner with a variety of local businesses and artisans for this event: Bon-Bones will provide healthy, organic dog biscuits; raffle proceeds will benefit the Animal Haven shelter; Astor Center will serve "Pups in a Blanket" for both vegetarians and meat-eaters; and a local artist will be on hand sketching dog portraits.
Free samples of wine, cocktails, and food will be available from 1:00 to 4:00, and the first 50 customers who bring dogs to the party will receive a "doggie bag" filled with prizes for pets.
